Khoj is Mehmosh Foundation’s education and skill development initiative aimed at breaking the cycle of poverty. We believe that every individual—regardless of background—deserves access to learning, tools, and training to secure a better future. From sponsoring school education to offering vocational courses and digital literacy, Khoj creates paths to opportunity and dignity.

The Challenge
India has the world’s largest population of illiterate adults and out-of-school children. Over 6 million children in India are still out of school, while millions more attend school but lack basic reading or math skills. Rural and economically weaker communities face the brunt of this educational divide.
Girls and marginalized groups are especially at risk—dropping out early due to financial burdens, early marriages, or lack of nearby schools.
At Mehmosh Foundation, we envision an India where education is not a privilege but a right. Through Khoj, we:
1. Enroll children in local schools and monitor their progress.
2. Offer after-school tutoring and weekend classes.
3. Conduct skill-building workshops for youth and women.
4. Equip centers with digital tools and trainers for lifelong learning.
